As I finished Dead Space there were two moments where I really wondered… “How do I do this…”:

1) How do I place the beacon?

2) How do I get the singularity core?

Here are the answers… (NO STORY SPOILERS HERE)

BEACON:

• Stand on the wall up and to the left of the asteroid.
• Wait for both of the bars to move away and jump onto the asteroid.
• Run to the outside part of the ship - that is where you see a sort of shimmering vacuum around the asteroid.
• Plant the beacon.
• Kill the monsters.
• Use a oxygen can if you didnt upgrade your rig’s O2.
• Break the two tethers that are in outer space. You need to first slow them then aim at the neon light thingy inside them.
• Go back to the area close to space border with inner spaceship and study the bars movement (dont wanna get chopped after all this stress).
• Run back and jump to the safety of a wall ASAP.

SINGULARITY CORE:

• There are hanging engines on either side of the beam you can use kenisis on.
• Move the engines to keep yourself safe.
• Go to the left and move engine forward till you see a fuse box to the right.
• Destroy the fuse box.
• Continue moving using kinesis on the engine and destroying all the fuse boxes you encounter.
• Move back using still the engine as cover.
• Go to the right side and repeat.
• The blasts will die as you destroy the last fuse.
• Take the core.

Even if the Wii Spidey adventure is rated only 61%, it is still a fun E (for All) age rated game that would be a great experience far gamers under the age of 15. Check out the review here.

It look like Amazon.com will be giving back$20 gift certificates for an undisclosed amount of time when you buy Guitar Hero: On Tour. The game is a recent top seller with 78% Gameranking.

Buy Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (64% Gameranking) for $17.88 on PS2.

Rated E for everyone, Ratchet and Clank is a Sony classic. The gameranking is low, as the game suffers from being a port of the PSP version of the same title, but still a fun Ratchet experience for fans of platformers or the characters.

Dark Sector for Xbox 360 - 73% at gameranking.com

If “over the shoulder shooters” are your cup of coffee, the price might just be right to get Dark Sector at a decent “price over quality” ratio.

Dark Sector has that Japanese feel to it, maybe more due to D3P being its publisher and should be a good ride for anybody that enjoyed Gears of War (same engine and a developer that used to be very close to Epic Games).

The Frugal Gamer reports you can get Diablo II for $5. I haven’t tried it, but then again, I have like 5 copies of Diablo II. The Frugal Gamer is giving instructions on how to do it here.

Diablo II might be an old game, but let’s remember, it received a 89% game ranking and is considered an RPG classic. Moreover, we have seen recent announcements about Diablo III…

Took me a bit to understand this (I’m kinda slow when trying to understand discount deals, always afraid I’m not going to understand exactly how much is the discount)… but the trick is that the discount doesn’t apply to everything.

You really need to find that little buggering octopus.

With mixed reviews - some magazines LOVED Contact, some kind of didn’t - Contact is a definite “must buy” for all those that like Japanese DS games. For the more western players, follow the link above to get a good personal opinion. Personally, I enjoyed it.

Who cares Children of Mana got only a 67% game-ranking score; I mean, I’ts Children of Mana… If that’s what you’re thinking, and you are a fan of the series, buy it at once. Otherwise, I’m lukewarm.

Touch Detective 2 1/2 $9.99, GR: 71%

A fun game for the DS, Touch Detective isn’t as good as Capcom’s Phoenix Wright series, but it’s pretty close to it. A great buy to have those hours at the airport melt away.

Available from Amazon.com, Call of Duty 2 is a great gaming experience. A FPS (first person shooter), Call of Duty guarantees fun with its cinematic WWII action. Great buy.

Available from Amazon.com, this isn’t the best game out there, but it’s a classic in action/rpg and part of the famous Dragon Quest franchise.

• Is the game Japanese developed or possess similar “flavor”?
