New Future Anime Magazine

Anime,” a magazine from Future Inc. regarding all things anime (and related videogames), has recently hit the shelves. Inspired by Otaku Dan’s great coverage of the few anime related magazines that exist in the US, here are some pictures from the “Special Collector’s Edition” of Future “Anime”, which includes 12 posters.

It costs $9.99 (a bit pricey in my book), but I couldn’t understand what kind of release it is going to have. Monthly, bi-monthly, once in a life time, whatever? I anybody knows plz leave a comment :)

Here is the cover (together with a sample of my carpet, which some time ago I suppose was white).

The table of contents shows us that the magazine seems to give 2/3 of its pages to anime and 1/3 to videogames based on anime properties (like DBZ) or with a similar flavor (like Devil May Cry).

Here are the 12 posters you can find in the “special collector’s edition.”

They are unfortunately made back to back, so if you want to use two that are on the same page, that’s gonna be difficult. Here are some of the anime posters laid out on my infamously white carpet.

I really like the Afro Samurai one… now, if I could only iron out that crease in the center of the poster…

What do you think? Are you going to buy “Anime”?

Digg this (if you liked it ^_^)

Why are they featuring DBZ? I suppose I don’t really like how the American market is half a year to a year behind. If there was more artwork then perhaps I’d consider it.

Let me check…yeah, It’s two pages dedicated to how Funimation is putting DBZ on Bue Ray…
I guess they needed to fill out pages; looks like a sideline news topic for the beginning of a magazine to me, not a full feature.

Glossy paper, good quality… the only begative appears to be that I don’t see a lot of “real” news, but it does have some good reviews. I guess that critique could be applied to all “paper” magazines though…
Other than that looks great to me ^_^

Where did you find the magazine at? I can’t seem to find it anywhere, that includes online. You would be a big help if you could tell me.

Should be a special - it will come out once, and if successful maybe turn into a regular special or even a regular pub.
